5-Year Ceramic Coating Warranty – Terms and Maintenance Requirements

Our 5-year ceramic coating packages are designed to protect your vehicle’s paintwork long-term — but like all protective coatings, proper maintenance is essential. To keep your coating performing at its best and your warranty valid, we require that your vehicle is maintained through our professional wash program.

What’s Required for Warranty Validity

To maintain your 5-year ceramic coating warranty, your vehicle must:


• be washed by us every 6 weeks (up to 8 visits per year)
• never go through automatic or brush-style car washes
• receive decontamination and ceramic-safe toppers every third wash
• be inspected annually by Chauvel’s Detailing

This maintenance schedule helps prevent damage, ensures the coating stays effective, and gives your vehicle a consistent showroom finish.

Maintenance Visit Breakdown

Each visit includes:


• safe pH-neutral 2 - bucket hand wash
• soft microfiber drying
• wheels cleaned and tyres dressed
• gloss enhancer or detail spray as needed

Every third visit (2–3 times per year) includes
• full chemical decontamination
• iron fallout removal
• ceramic-safe topper applied for extra gloss, slickness, and hydrophobicity

Annual inspection included during one of the decontamination visits.

Annual Cost for Warranty Coverage

To keep your warranty active, payment is made annually based on vehicle size:

Small/ medium cars – £260/year
Large/SUVs (Range Rover, GLE Coupe, G Wagon etc..) – £320/year

Includes up to 8 visits per year and all required treatments.

Coverage Limitations

The ceramic coating warranty does not cover:


• scratches, stone chips, dents, or damage from external impact
• neglect, misuse, or failure to follow aftercare instructions
• damage from incorrect washing methods (e.g. drive-through car washes)
• repainting, bodywork, or polishing by third parties
• failure to follow the outlined maintenance schedule

Booking and Activation

Warranty coverage begins on the date of ceramic coating application and remains valid when the above conditions are met.
